Job Summary:

This healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will administer general and specific X-rays, adjust equipment, and provide excellent patient care using various imaging modalities.

This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while working in a collaborative, professional environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for X-rays by explaining procedures and ensuring proper positioning
  • Operate radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for X-ray procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast media or other chemicals when needed
  • Observe patients during procedures and report any unusual occurrences
  • Develop X-ray films and maintain radiographic technique records
  • Clean and disinfect X-ray rooms and equipment
  • Maintain stock supplies and inspect emergency trays
  • Provide education for staff and peers based on identified needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications:
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
  • State certification to practice/administer radiation required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Radiologic Imaging Specialist preferred
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and techniques
  • Familiarity with various imaging modalities and equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using radiologic information systems (RIS) and PACS
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as needed
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
