Logistics Workflow Specialist

As a Logistics Workflow Specialist at Michael Foods Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota, you will oversee the logistics workflow for our distribution center.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our team in maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting pre-shift meetings, monitoring operations, leading by example, and training forklift operators while adhering to food safety and quality standards.

• Conduct Pre-Shift Meetings: Ensure all team members are aware of daily workload, communicate changes, and analyze head count for workload adjustments.
• Monitor Doors: Follow inbound and outbound procedures for preparing and closing doors.
• Collaborate with Office Staff: Work closely with office staff to maintain consistent workflow to the floor.
• Pallet Truck Deliveries: Monitor deliveries, unload trailers, and reload with repair pallets in a timely manner.
• Verify Hot List Loads: Adhere to hot list procedure guidelines.
• Safety Monitoring: Identify and address safety concerns or infractions on the floor.
• Forklift Operations: Operate forklift safely and productively, assist operators, and perform daily tasks when not performing lead duties.

• A Minimum of Six Months Experience: In a palletized warehouse environment, preferably with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Education and Certifications: High school diploma or G.E.D., successfully completed Powered Industrial Truck training program, and ability to use standard office technology.

• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions that benefit the company without compromising employee health and well-being.
• P.I.T. Training: All distribution operators will be provided with MFI-approved P.I.T. training/certification upon starting employment.

The estimated salary range for this role is between $55,000 and $70,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Gaylord, Minnesota, is located in south-central Minnesota, approximately one hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg products such as scrambled, patties, and omelets.
