Position: Neuro/Spine Surgical Physician Assistant
Location: Nashville, TN
AP Health is a dedicated practice focused on providing exceptional perioperative services to healthcare facilities. Our team consists of highly skilled Advanced Practice Providers who specialize in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
We are currently seeking a seasoned Physician Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in neurosurgery and spine surgery. This role is exclusively surgical, with no outpatient responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to work within a prestigious team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Surgical First Assistant in the operating room environment.
- Prepare and position patients under the guidance of the lead surgeon.
- Perform suturing and tissue retraction throughout surgical procedures.
- Contribute to the intra-operative management of patients by executing assigned technical tasks.
- Conduct thorough and focused physical examinations and patient histories.
- Participate in rotating on-call duties.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a surgical first assistant.
- Current licensure in the state of Tennessee.
- Board certification from the NCCPA.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
