We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Madera County, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, planning, organizing, and coordinating the administration of an assigned public health nursing program.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of public health nurses to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
- Develop and implement program plans and goals to improve public health outcomes.
- Provide training and work direction to assigned staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Evaluate the performance of assigned staff and provide feedback to improve their performance.
- Develop and manage program budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
- Represent the Public Health Department and nursing services to the public, community organizations, boards, commissions, and other government agencies.
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible public health nursing experience, including at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to that of a Senior Public Health Nurse with Madera County.
- Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in nursing or a related field.
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Possession of a California State Public Health Nursing Certificate.
As a Public Health Nurse Supervisor with Madera County, CA, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
- 13 paid holidays per year.
- 1 sick leave day per month (unlimited accrual).
- 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year, vacation accrual increasing thereafter with years of service (45 days maximum accrual).
- Membership in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), with an enhanced 2.7% @ 55 retirement benefit formula.
- County participates in the Public Employees' Retirement System Health Benefit Program and for certain selected health plans, the County pays 95% of health insurance premium for employee and 50% for either two-party or dependent coverage.
- Additional salary increases after 10, 15, and 20 years of service.
