Healthcare Access Coordinator

Position Overview:
The role involves executing patient access responsibilities in a manner that fosters positive interactions with patients, healthcare providers, hospital departments, and visitors.
The individual will carry out patient access tasks in alignment with the established protocols and procedures of Adirondack Health, as well as comply with regulatory agencies such as HIPAA, CMS, TJC, AOA, and EMTALA. This position may require flexibility to work across various health centers.
Educational Background and Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in typing is essential. Familiarity with computer systems is necessary, and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous. Previous experience in a professional office or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills and telephone etiquette are important. A professional demeanor and effective communication skills are vital for maintaining positive public relations with daily interactions. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is preferred.
