About the Role:

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work;
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems;
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs;
  • Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures;
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications;
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance;
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required;
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment;
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; criminal background checks and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements/ Environmental/ Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a lift truck license within 60 days of hire/promotion;
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Able to safely work in a moderately conditioned, industrial process manufacturing environment;
  • Must be able to frequently climb 10-40 steps and occasionally climb 5-10 ladder rungs;
  • Able to work in differing temperatures;
  • Non-traditional work schedules will be based on location needs or specific situations.
