Job Summary and QualificationsAt Henrico Doctors' Hospital, our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurses conduct specialized procedures in the outpatient setting (e.g., DSE, TEE's, Cardioversions, and Tilt tests).
In addition to transporting patients to and from the Cath Lab, you will also be responsible for performing and documenting care for all admissions and recovery room patients.
We are a dedicated, hardworking team seeking an exceptional addition like you. You will administer medications as prescribed through various routes. Our nursing staff is expected to actively engage in continuing education on the unit. You must effectively communicate verbal and written information, instructions, or education to patients, family members, and other healthcare team members as appropriate. You will oversee all phases of the digital/filmless CD system. Your role will also serve as a liaison for the Cath Lab to foster relationships with physicians, interdepartmental, and intra-departmental teams.What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license. Current BLS & ACLS certification. A minimum of one year of ICU/CCU or comparable ER, Cath Lab, or recovery experience.
