Job Summary

Aquatech International is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team in Pasco, Washington. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our industrial water treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control the operation of industrial water treatment plants, including pre-treatment, demineralization, reverse osmosis, and dissolved air flotation systems.
  • Perform quality checks and chemistry control to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Report any abnormalities or issues to the plant supervisor and assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Load and unload consumable chemicals and assist in the maintenance of the plant as required.
  • Coordinate sludge storage and movement, and assist in the collection of water samples.
Requirements
  • Experience in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants, including pre-treatment, demineralization, reverse osmosis, and dissolved air flotation systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in pre-treatment, demineralization, and wastewater treatment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to be hands-on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.
Physical Demands

The ideal candidate will be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb ladders, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while on site. The position involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and requires a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
