Mission Statement
Neziner Limudim is an integral part of the Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel community, dedicated to fostering a program where students engage in meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences centered around Hebrew language and Jewish traditions. Our facilitators play a crucial role in realizing this vision and are esteemed members of our community.
Available Positions
Facilitators are needed for the following schedules:
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 PM
- Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM
- Shabbat (Saturday) from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Additional roles may be available for PreCare starting at 3:00 PM on specified days.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We encourage candidates who meet at least 80% of the following criteria to consider applying:
- Demonstrates a passion for fostering an inclusive classroom environment that values individual contributions.
- Shows enthusiasm for working with and learning from students.
- Enjoys building and maintaining relationships with students.
- Possesses formal or informal educational experience or has worked with youth in various settings (e.g., summer camps, youth organizations, after school programs).
- Exhibits strong Hebrew reading and writing abilities.
- Fluency in spoken Hebrew is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Has a solid understanding of Jewish culture, community, holidays, history, and Torah narratives.
Main Responsibilities
As a Facilitator, you will be expected to:
- Create a secure and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages inquiry and community building.
- Follow the curriculum and educational objectives as outlined by the Director, ensuring alignment with the values of the community.
- Complete necessary employment documentation and background checks as instructed.
- Participate in an orientation and training session.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
- Implement lesson plans for Hebrew and Prayer Activities, preparing and submitting plans as needed.
- Communicate with families through periodic updates regarding their child's learning experiences.
- Open the learning environment 15 minutes prior to each session and ensure the safe dismissal of all students.

Compensation
Salary Range: $25-$32/hr Based on Experience
