Job Overview

ESP Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior LiDAR Technician to support the company's corporate office in Fort Mill, SC. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain experience in a well-established Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated classification strategies to reduce manual editing time for lidar data
  • Test and evaluate new processes, software, and technologies to introduce efficiencies and expand technical services for lidar and lidar-derived products
  • Produce high-quality aerial lidar point cloud deliverables and derivative products, as well as quality control of lidar pre- and post-processing steps

Requirements:

  • Experience with TerraSolid software, specifically TerraScan, TerraMatch, and TerraBatch, for manned flight lidar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ESRI ArcMap
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with tight deadlines
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with peers and managers to achieve established goals
