Dermatology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatology Specialist to join our team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The successful candidate will be a Physician in Dermatology with a strong background in clinical dermatology and a passion for research in cutaneous biology.

• Direct and provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct ambulatory clinics and perform relevant dermatology procedures.
• Interview, obtain, and review medical history of patients, and perform physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs.
• Order special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services as required.
• Respond to consultation requests, determine, prescribe, and implement treatment plans and/or medications required.
• Document all services and instructions provided in medical records.
• Educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials, resources, and services to patients and their families.
• Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities.
• Serve as a preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students, nursing staff, and other allied medical professionals in the specialty of dermatology.
• Ensure continuing medical education requirements are met.
• Participate in department, college, medical center, and university committees and other service activities.

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine required.
• Active certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) required.
• Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship training program in dermatology required.

• Demonstrated scholarly achievement in cutaneous biology research.
• Commitment to excellence and interest in expanding departmental infrastructure in basic and translational science.
