Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University of Miami. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review CT scan orders for appropriateness and notify supervisors of any discrepancies
  • Verify patient identities and maintain accurate records
  • Apply physical and developmental care needs of patients according to their documented requirements
  • Identify patient service requirements and provide exam education
  • Perform complex tasks associated with CT scanner operation and maintenance
  • Integrate diagnostic results and adapt exams as necessary
  • Assist with patient positioning and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Report unusual findings to radiologists and supervisory personnel
  • Provide assistance with orientation and training of students and new technologists
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a relevant field
  • ARRT registration
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
