Nurse Supervisor Position in Long-term Care Facility

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as a Charge Nurse at our long-term care facility, Sunnyside Presbyterian Home. This is a part-time position, working every other weekend, with the opportunity for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Management: Administer medications accurately and within the designated time frame, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, treatments, and resident interactions.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise Medication Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care delivery.
- Treatment Implementation: Complete and/or supervise all treatments using standard nursing protocol, prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
- Observation and Reporting: Record nursing observations on residents' charts, reporting significant issues to the Unit Manager.
- Order Transcription and Implementation: Accurately transcribe, analyze, comprehend, and implement doctors' orders, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
- Dietary and Maintenance Forms: Complete dietary and maintenance forms accurately, maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
- C.N.A. Support: Update daily flow sheets for C.N.A.s, ensuring they have the necessary information to provide quality care.
- Emergency Response: Handle emergencies and stressful situations with professionalism, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Licensure and Education: Registered nurse or licensed practical nurse with a degree from an accredited school of nursing and licensure through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated supervisory skills, with experience preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
- Communication and Multitasking: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with confidential information, and multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work in a stressful environment and respond to medical emergency situations.
