Job Summary

Ampco Pumps Co Inc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and daily repairs on our equipment to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on shop equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to complete required maintenance and service.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machines and general operational problems.
  • Manage facility upkeep, including grounds maintenance and snow removal.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Implement recycling programs for paper and cardboard.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and work instructions.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
  • Experience working with high-voltage machines.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Able to work independently and delegate tasks to the maintenance team.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Machining experience preferred.
