Role Overview: The Public Services Worker engages in manual labor that demands significant physical strength and stamina. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning streets, gutters, and alleys.
  • Loading debris and dirt into trucks.
  • Removing litter from public areas.
  • Performing grading, patching, and maintenance of both improved and unimproved streets.
  • Applying sealants and hot mix materials.
  • Excavating and preparing sites for construction.
  • Distributing gravel, stone, and other materials as needed.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a high school diploma from an accredited institution or a GED certificate. Experience in heavy manual labor is preferred, although equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. A valid driver's license is also required.
