Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit self-motivation and exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently while guiding others with kindness.
  • Develop weekly work schedules and individual preparation timelines to ensure seamless service, with the ability to assist at any station as needed.
  • Create visually stunning dishes while maintaining the highest standards of organization and cleanliness, and provide training and mentorship to fellow cooks to foster a sense of belonging and knowledge.
  • Oversee back-of-house operations to ensure they run smoothly and profitably, managing costs of goods sold and minimizing food waste.
  • Uphold standards of cleanliness, urgency, and quality throughout the kitchen.


Ideal Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a sous chef role.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with kitchen management, inventory control, staff scheduling, and food/labor cost management.
  • Ability to manage the kitchen line and ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency during service.
  • Proficient in building rapport with guests in an open kitchen environment, demonstrating a commitment to service excellence and genuine hospitality.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining preparation lists, placing orders, and collaborating with vendors.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of back-of-house facilities.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in POS and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work in a standing position for extended periods, navigate stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
