Pool Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at the YMCA of Pueblo. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all members and participants in and around the pool area.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all activity in and around the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all.
- Ensure the safety of all members and participants in and around the pool, including children and adults.
- Learn and apply valuable lifesaving skills in a leadership role, including CPR and first aid.
- Monitor pool conditions and report any hazards or concerns to management.
- Participate in regular training and certification programs to maintain and improve lifeguarding skills.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Currently certified lifeguards welcome, but we also offer lifeguard certification courses.
- Good health and physical stamina.
- A friendly, enthusiastic attitude and ability to maintain a calm manner in stressful and/or emergency situations.
- 12% Employer Funded Retirement Plan (once eligible).
- Adult membership to the YMCA of Pueblo.
- 50% discount on Association member rate for classes or programs that require a member fee.
