Job Title:
PRN Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities:
Assess students at the First Aid Center with a triage approach, recording vital signs and observing students self-administering medications. Document progress and oversee the medication observation process. Perform treatments as ordered by providers and respond to medical emergencies on campus. Document essential findings in the student's medical record and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Attend meetings as requested and adhere to established protocols and procedures. Work with students who have physical, mental, and developmental disabilities, administering nursing care in a school-based setting. Manage supplies and inventory in a fiscally responsible way and possess the ability to initiate tasks autonomously when needed. Be on time for shifts and reliable, presenting to customers in a cheerful, positive manner. Assist with ADL's as needed and possess knowledge of adaptive equipment.

Qualifications:
Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of TN, possessing knowledge of basic laboratory practices. Effective communication and listening skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise information in a classroom setting. Basic knowledge of electronic data usage and exceptional customer service skills. Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
