As a Battery Management System (BMS) Manager, you'll play a critical role in developing the next generation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles and the ground-to-air ecosystem to support this emerging industry.

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned BMS expert to lead our team of engineers in designing, developing, and validating high-voltage BMS systems for our Energy Storage Systems (ESS). Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our BMS solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of HW engineers responsible for BMS architecture, validation, and integration
  • Develop and maintain design processes within the BMS team
  • Collaborate with SW teams to ensure seamless integration and testing
  • Ensure compliance with aviation certification requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in BMS hardware, PDU development, and production ramp-up
  • Expertise in HV battery management systems, HW & SW development, and communication interfaces
  • Proficiency in analog & mixed-signal high-voltage systems, HW simulation tools, and modeling tools
  • Knowledge of aviation standards, system design standards, and battery estimation algorithms
