The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care to the population for which he or she is employed.
The RN is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence-based practices.
The practice of the Registered Nurse will support the mission, vision, and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized nursing care to patients in the outpatient surgery department
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN/MSN preferred
Texas State RN License or compact license required
American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS required
National Specialty Certification preferred
Specialty units may require specific experience and additional certifications
