We are in search of a skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist who will play a vital role in pinpointing inefficiencies and exploring opportunities within warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of logistics processes, perform statistical evaluations, and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies. This position will be a key contributor to the project management team, offering significant insight into the overall business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the formulation of streamlined warehouse procedures using DMAIC and DMADV methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively and share acquired knowledge with various departments through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), team discussions, and the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Conduct regular assessments and performance evaluations to guarantee the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Gather precise measurements, develop layout designs, and provide recommendations for warehouse infrastructure enhancements. Serve as the main liaison for vendors on projects such as visual management upgrades and racking system installation/optimization.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement efforts by defining and analyzing key metrics such as product scanning accuracy and inventory location reliability.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Warehouse/Logistics, particularly in the food products and consumer packaged goods sectors.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing warehouse or manufacturing workflows is essential.
  • Experience with labor productivity or scheduling optimization is advantageous.
  • Lean Six Sigma training and experience are required, with Green Belt certification being a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
