Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety.
  • Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
  • Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA).
  • An understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
  • The ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
  • Age requirement of at least 18 years old.
