Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing engaging early childhood educational activities using diverse materials to foster the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical growth of children.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to develop and execute age-appropriate curricula and activities.
  • Creating a nurturing environment that encourages positive interactions among children, youth, and adults.
  • Facilitating and leading planned activities for participants in the program.
  • Utilizing approved child guidance techniques to interact effectively with children and youth.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with staff, parents, and community members.
  • Tracking program participation and completing necessary reports.
Child Supervision:

The role includes:

  • Preparing and organizing indoor and outdoor activity spaces and materials to support daily schedules.
  • Monitoring children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assisting with the provision of appropriate snacks and meals as needed.
Caregiving Duties:

The position involves:

  • Performing routine caregiving tasks, including receiving children and attending to their physical needs.
  • Ensuring care is delivered in compliance with established standards.
  • Conducting health checks and maintaining a safe environment for children.
  • Engaging with parents and completing related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • One year of experience working with children in a group setting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of post-secondary education, including coursework in early childhood education or related fields, or a vocational certificate in childcare.
