Electrical Facilities Associate Engineer

Boeing is seeking an Electrical Facilities Associate Engineer to join our Global Real Estate and Facilities Engineering and Technology team in Heath, OH.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding facilities operation, learn new skills, and become a vital member of a dynamic team. As an Electrical Facilities Associate Engineer, you will have the chance to guide reactive equipment repairs, support, plan, and construction projects by defining requirements and overseeing their successful execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides input to infrastructure planning, completes studies, and analyzes current conditions and future requirements.
  • Recommends capital improvements and gathers and analyzes data to identify and access alternatives and impacts.
  • Assists in electrical designs with customer requirements, building codes, and applicable regulations.
  • Assists in integrating the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants, and government agencies.
  • Develops routine conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for electrical phases of buildings, equipment installation, utility systems, and grounds.
  • Analyzes to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity using reliability tools and methods.
  • Ensures accuracy of drawing archives/libraries.
  • Translates customer requirements into design options, identifies appropriate materials, equipment, and services.
  • Estimates resources costs/requirements, identifies materials, equipment, and services, and develops preliminary project schedule to establish project scope.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical documents and/or drawings.
  • 1+ years of experience in a facility maintenance in an engineering role/or management role.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with building and safety codes.
  • 3+ years of experience with lean processes and initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience leading construction projects.
  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
