Job Overview

This Peer Support Specialist role is part of our multidisciplinary team that provides acute care inpatient psychiatric services to voluntary and involuntary patients.

The successful candidate will be a person with a behavioral health diagnosis, well-established in their own recovery, who provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate.

They will consult with the team and support behavioral health patients, promoting a culture where patients' points of view are recognized and respected.


Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with the team and provide support to behavioral health patients.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team, providing insight from personal experiences.
  • Assist patients in accessing community resources and services, as well as discharge planning.
  • Aid in verbal de-escalation of patients during emergent situations.
