The Firearms Sales Associate is a key member of our sales team at Dury's Gun Shop, responsible for selling and introducing firearms and related products to our customers. This role involves making outbound calls, tracking and following up on leads, and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
- Develop leads and seek opportunities to present additional products to current customers.
- Understand customer needs and requirements.
- Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via email.
- Keep up with product and service information and updates.
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate management for further development and closure.
- Close sales and achieve sales targets.
- Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
- Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
- Explain and demonstrate features of products and services.
- Stay informed about competing products and services.
- Upsell products and services.
- Proven inside sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of product line and solid understanding of business and sales concept.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills required to handle objections and convert leads into prospects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years inside sales experience.
- Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
The Firearms Sales Associate will work in a fast-paced sales environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer or on the telephone for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Some travel may be required. May be required to work Saturdays and some holidays.
