Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part Time Personal Banker I to join our team at Suffolk Credit Union. As a key member of our Member Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member experiences and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Service: Deliver outstanding service to all current and prospective members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Product Knowledge: Exhibit in-depth knowledge of all Credit Union products and services, and maintain the ability to educate and inform members about the benefits of SCU membership.
  • Transaction Processing: Process transactions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining member confidentiality and adhering to Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Relationship Building: Develop advisory relationships with current and prospective members, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and drive referrals.
  • Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing basic membership accounts, Debit/ATM Card servicing, Wire Transfers, and Account Maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience: One to two years of customer service experience, preferably in a banking environment, or six months of Teller or FSR experience required.
  • Cash Handling: Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Notary License: Notary license required to be obtained within three months of hire.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual skills preferred.
