About the Role:

Curries, a subsidiary of ASSA ABLOY, is in search of a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for our manufacturing site in Mason City, Iowa.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance division, including managing the work order and project management systems.
  • Directly supervise the plant maintenance team, focusing on planning, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure timely and effective repairs of equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce production downtime during routine operations and various projects.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by planning and executing equipment installations, relocations, or reconfigurations.
  • Establish and maintain effective procedures for the upkeep of all production machinery, infrastructure, and facilities.
  • Work alongside the management team to prioritize maintenance requests.
  • Implement, monitor, and refine a preventative maintenance program aligned with production needs.
  • Analyze data to assess maintenance costs for individual equipment and propose strategies to reduce future expenses.
  • Coordinate and schedule external inspections to comply with local regulations.
  • Source and manage external contractors for necessary work, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Participate as a management member on the Safety and Emergency Response Team.
  • Engage in special projects and assignments as required.
  • Contribute to fostering a safe and harmonious workplace for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant governance policies, regulations, and ASSA ABLOY standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required; advanced degree or certification in Industrial Mechanics, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a maintenance management capacity within a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with work order systems such as Thrive.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of collaborative project work and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in CMMS systems, including database management and search functionalities.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities to oversee scheduled maintenance and PMs.
  • Availability for after-hours support and guidance to maintenance and engineering teams.
