About the Opportunity

Legrand is seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our Building Control Systems Wattstopper Team in North America.

This role offers a unique chance to provide project pre-sales, application, and product support for our wide range of Wattstopper products.

You will be working closely with Building Automation Integrators to connect to WattStopper lighting control systems and ensure all project objectives are met.

We are looking for an individual who can understand the requirements of project lighting control and apply their knowledge to develop solutions that meet the intent of the project documents.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Electrical or HVAC control systems, software programming experience with JavaScript and LISP, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project pre-sales, application, and product support for Wattstopper products
  • Support Building Automation Integrators connecting to WattStopper lighting control systems
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications and apply the information to specific Watt Stopper products
  • Develop and verify nonstandard design and custom solutions from standard product mix
  • Supervise submittal generation, control programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Watt Stopper systems

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related/equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience in Electrical or HVAC control systems
  • Software programming experience with JavaScript and LISP
