About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Patient Services Associate in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining a patient/customer focus, support the delivery of high-quality care, and help meet or exceed patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets.
- Supports the intake/patient registration and/or scheduling process
- Manages and handles patient calls and inquiries
- Coordinates patient appointments
- Updates patient insurance/billing information
- Performs point-of-service activities, including collecting copays and recording accurately
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of medical office experience or two years of customer service experience
- Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
