Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stocking Team Member to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Stocking Team Member, you will play a critical role in ensuring our stores are well-stocked and visually appealing for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload Deliveries: Receive and unload daily deliveries of merchandise, ensuring that products are accurately inventoried and stored in the correct locations.
  • Stock and Merchandise Products: Stock and merchandise products on the sales floor and in backrooms, maintaining a high level of visual appeal and ensuring that products are easily accessible to customers.
  • Verify Inventory: Verify that quantity, quality, and products delivered match invoices and assist departments in tracking vendor credits and records of inventory, damages, and variances.
  • Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure that shelves and cases are clean and well-stocked, maintaining a high level of store appearance and visual appeal.
  • Maximize Sales: Help to maximize sales through effective and proper procedures for stocking, rotating, and merchandising product, both on the sales floor and in the backrooms and coolers/freezers.
  • Follow Safety Guidelines: Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Physical Demands: May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 8-32 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.
