Phlebotomy Technician

Cleveland Clinic's Lorain Family Health & Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our medical laboratory team.

This patient-friendly facility offers primary care, advanced outpatient surgery, and a wide range of specialties, providing patients with world-class care.

As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a vital role in the medical laboratory team, responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and facilitating the collection and transportation of other laboratory specimens.

You will work closely with patients, often being their only point of contact with the medical laboratory, and must be able to put them at ease while obtaining the required specimens.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, technical proficiency with standard procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications include formal phlebotomy certification and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical requirements include frequent and long durations of standing and walking, visual acuity, and manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate blood drawing equipment.
