We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at UNC Health. As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and post-procedure transport.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis, performing and recording all equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
- Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
- Perform staff training and education, and monitor and record patient information.
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use, and maintain report storage and data systems.
- Associate degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
