Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,680 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,505 - $4,715 per month

This full-time position is temporary and expected to conclude within one year from the hire date. Continuation of this role is dependent on available funding and satisfactory performance. This role operates during the swing shift (Monday - Friday: 5pm-1:30am or 7pm-3:30am) Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.

The CSU system offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays annually. Job Overview

Under general supervision, this role entails providing thorough cleaning and custodial services for designated campus buildings, facilities, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining cleanliness in offices, classrooms, laboratories, art rooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, locker rooms, health and childcare centers, patios, entryways, walkways, and workshops.

Custodial staff may operate independently or collaborate as part of a custodial team.

This position is designated for the swing shift (Monday - Friday: 5pm-1:30am or 7pm-3:30am) and may necessitate after-hours and weekend work.

Key Qualifications

Ability to: Read and write at a level suitable for the duties of the position. Follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety. Operate and maintain custodial equipment and supplies relevant to the position. Utilize two-way radios for communication. Adhere to safety protocols and safe work practices. Engage in work involving regular physical activity. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
