Job Overview

A Multimedia Systems Commissioning Specialist at A-V Services, Inc. is tasked with the commissioning, delivery, and execution of cutting-edge multimedia installations.

This role demands extensive technical and operational expertise, alongside the capability to collaborate effectively with minimal supervision. The specialist will engage with various teams to uphold our operational standards and assume a quality assurance role to ensure that all requirements are met. Frequent travel is essential for commissioning projects, training onsite personnel or end-users, and supporting high-profile events.

Key Objectives:

  • Implement a quality assurance strategy for system designs, narratives, products, and the overall user experience.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs to ensure end users are proficient in utilizing room systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Stage and commission new multimedia installations utilizing AV9000 methodologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and project managers to deliver systems that align with operational needs for end users and event technology.
  • Participate in project design and programming discussions.
  • Review and annotate drawing sets, bill-of-materials, test fits, etc.
  • Investigate and suggest new technologies that could enhance our workflow.
  • Conduct product testing on new technologies for production readiness.
  • Attend manufacturer training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to gain a thorough understanding of new products integrated into our environment.
  • Formulate and execute training plans for both new and existing sites.
  • Provide hands-on training to AV operators in our production facilities.
  • Oversee and train the onsite events team to ensure seamless turnover of conference rooms.
  • Update and refine standards as the environment and show requirements evolve.
  • Travel for staging, commissioning, training, and event support, which may include nights, weekends, and overtime hours.
  • Manage project time tracking, reporting, and data analytics for dashboards.
  • Maintain responsive communication with management, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Offer event support when available.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of integrated AV systems, including mixers, switchers, routers, and DSPs.
  • Preferred certifications include CTS and CQT.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an integrated AV environment.
  • Basic understanding of AV over IP ecosystems.
