Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Programmer to join our team at the City of Kalispell. As a Recreation Programmer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising recreational programs for youth and adults, including sports, camps, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule recreational programs and events for youth and adults
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of seasonal recreation employees and volunteers
  • Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of the community
  • Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to promote recreation programs
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Sports Management, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in recreation programming or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Montana driver's license
