Canal Barge Company is seeking a highly skilled Shore Tankerman to join our team of liquid cargo specialists. As a Shore Tankerman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of liquid cargos.

• Conduct transfers of liquid cargos in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure incident-free transfers.
• Conduct regular inspections of barges prior to conducting transfers to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair of barges and pumps as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect all safety and transfer equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Serve as a liaison with customer dock personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Respond to emergencies and take charge of first-line emergency response efforts.

• A valid driver's license.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Able to pass a physical examination, including a respirator fit test, and be clean-shaven.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy marine equipment.
