Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the State of Iowa. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in a correctional facility setting
  • Participate in the management of patient care, including triage, medication administration, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct educational sessions and teach patients and staff as needed
  • Administer medication and perform other nursing duties as required
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, optometrists, and dentists to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or a compact state
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional facility environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
