Warehouse Worker

Westchester Plastics LLC is seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for receiving and shipping goods, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the quality of orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other machinery.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, receiving stock and filling orders for transport.
- Prepare orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
- Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety guidelines.
- Responsible for quality control, ensuring no damaged product is sent out and no damaged raw material is accepted.
- Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
- Move, load, and sort freight by hand or dolly prior to shipment.
- Stage and package finished product for loading and shipping.
- Responsible for unloading freight and ensuring the bill of lading is correctly reflected.
- Responsible for loading freight per purchase order, product, weight, and shipping instructions.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Clean the warehouse to maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
Requirements:
- 3-6 months of previous warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of product and warehouse processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, follow procedures, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
