Key responsibilities include administering medications, taking vital signs, performing wound care, and assisting patients with daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications as prescribed by a physician or registered nurse
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate
- Communicate with patients and their families about their care and treatment plan
- Document patient visits and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as registered nurses, physicians, and therapists
- Complete patient assessments and coordinate care
- Identify and report changes in resident's condition to Registered Nurse
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all patient interactions
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) is preferred
