About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Wellpath. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation services to patients, promoting their physical and psychosocial well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized recreation plans to address the needs of patients
  • Conduct daily recreation and recovery groups, managing group dynamics and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with patients
  • Assess and reassess patients' strengths and needs, completing therapeutic activities assessments and documenting services provided
  • Maintain a safe and clean therapeutic environment, providing individualized care and treatment that is sensitive to the age and life span developmental needs of each patient
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation
  • Current CTRS certification, registration, or licensure in accordance with state and/or national board standards of specific field or allied health
  • Experience working with adults within a psychiatric environment preferred
