Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a Furniture Logistics Associate, you will be responsible for the meticulous cleaning and preparation of furniture for rental purposes, including various types of items such as bedroom, living room, dining room, and upholstered pieces. Your role will also involve assisting with the delivery and retrieval of furniture as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and prepare furniture upon its return for subsequent installations.
  • Perform necessary repairs on furniture items.
  • Unload delivery trucks following pickups and prepare the truck for the next day's deliveries.
  • Utilize a scanner to check furniture in and out.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Employ proper techniques for carrying furniture to avoid damage to both the items and the premises.
  • Document deliveries and pickups accurately, noting any items requiring further attention or follow-up. Communicate any challenges or customer requests to the home office during the delivery or pickup process.
  • Assist with the installation and pickup of housewares as a Driver's Helper, including setting up kitchen items, bathrooms, and bedrooms when necessary.
  • Receive training to advance to an installer/driver role.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in driving and delivery.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication with customers and team members; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Possess a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a Class C or CDL license.
  • Ability to operate an upholstery cleaner for cleaning upholstered items and rugs.
  • Capability to safely lift and carry over 100 lbs. with a partner, including navigating stairs.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • This position operates Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes base pay, overtime potential, and paid time off for vacations, sick days, and holidays. Our benefits package includes health and dental coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan, with a review after 90 days of employment.
