Job Summary:

The Psych Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to a group of patients assigned based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse's competencies. The Psych RN completes established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized patient care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of hire or transfer.
  • BLS certification through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 years of experience in a psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health.
