About the Job:

As a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with IntelyCare, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including assisted living facilities (ALFs), skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and other post-acute care environments. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily living activities, such as mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other ADLs
  • Monitor residents throughout the shift and alert the broader nursing team to any concerns
  • Check temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, and report any abnormal events to supervising staff
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by changing linens and helping to clean residents' rooms, etc.
  • Move residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, and exam tables
  • Offer companionship and a compassionate, engaged ear to residents and their loved ones
  • Understand how to communicate with visitors, family members, and staff
  • Be accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans

Requirements:

  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and nursing care procedures
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Effective organizational skills and communication skills
  • Appropriate bedside manner
