Responsibilities:
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitoring resident health status and reporting any changes to the registered nurse or physician.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Documenting resident care activities and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and residents.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for administering medications and treatments.
