Material Movement Coordinator Job Description

The Material Movement Coordinator is a pivotal role within Universal Logistics Holdings' logistics operations in Portland, OR. This highly organized and detail-focused individual will be responsible for coordinating and executing material movements between our warehouse and plant distribution points, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.

Detailed Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule daily transportation routes, optimizing delivery times and schedules
- Liaise with warehouse personnel to facilitate smooth material flow and minimize delays
- Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance to guarantee safe and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies

Essential Requirements and Skills

- Valid CDL A license (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Expertise in operating heavy equipment, including 24' trailers
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
