Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department, by following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
  • Ensure that our deli products are fresh and appealing to our customers by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and handling spoiled or damaged products according to company procedures.
  • Operate slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses to customers, package items, and apply stickers with prices, weights, and dates.
  • Prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders, including platters of sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetable trays.
  • Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food, including chicken, pizza, sandwiches, salads, and other hot or cold food items.
  • May operate cash register, follow policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling, and adhere to company and state laws related to tobacco and alcohol sales.
  • Assist in inventory control by minimizing losses, returning products to refrigeration, and following company recipes.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, and baling cardboard or other related duties if properly trained.
Requirements:
  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
