Role Purpose
The primary objective of the Prescription Fulfillment Specialist is to assist pharmacists in the daily operations of picking, labeling, packing, and shipping prescription orders. Collaboration with team leads and department managers is vital to meet the delivery expectations of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists in fulfilling orders by executing tasks related to picking, labeling, packing, and shipping.
- Work closely with the Pharmacy Solutions Inventory Planner to oversee the inventory of medications and supplies.
- Assist in the replenishment of supplies utilized during the picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Achieve performance benchmarks in accordance with established metrics and KPIs.
- Propose and discuss process or system enhancements that can improve the efficiency and productivity of fulfillment operations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the fulfillment technician role and serve as a resource for pharmacy technicians and team leads.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary by Pharmacy Solutions Management.
- Engage professionally with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate service delivery to patients.
- Maintain current licensure and continuing education requirements as necessary, while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must meet the Pharmacy Technician Licensure and Certification requirements by the start of employment.
- Ability to become a certified Forklift Operator is necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple tasks under general supervision.
- Effectively manage time and complete individual tasks while adhering to deadlines.
- Flexible availability to work between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Role involves prolonged standing and moderate lifting activities.
