Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Food Lion. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized produce department, and ensuring that our customers have an excellent shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including ordering, receiving, preparation, and displaying of merchandise
  • Unload trucks for the produce department and ensure that all products are properly stored and displayed
  • Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO to manage inventory and ordering
  • Understand and follow company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge while on duty
  • Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and other training programs
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Working Conditions

The Produce Sales Associate will work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for long periods of time and frequently walking short distances. The associate will be required to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 75 pounds. The associate will also be required to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
