CMM Programmer Position

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to fill a critical role in our client\u2019s team. This position requires the ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, in a manufacturing environment.

  • Generate CMM programs using MCOSMOS and/or PCDMIS from print and CAD models.
  • Coordinate with CNC machine supervisor/programmer to identify nonconformances and resolution in a timely manner.
  • Perform Full Dimensional layout, 1st Piece and In-process Inspection, as required, of CNC Machined precision parts.
  • Review, monitor and track nonconformances.
  • Review and disposition of suspect products in a timely manner.
  • Generate PPAP, Control Plans and FMEA\u2019s.
  • Root cause analysis and Corrective Action Report.
  • Develop and revise Job Instructions, Control Plans or other documents as required.
  • Train and supervise Quality Inspectors.

CMM Programmer Requirements:

  • Ability to write/generate CMM programs using MCOSMOS and/or PCDMIS from prints and CAD files.
  • Familiar with Optical/Vision Measurement Systems (i.e., RAM, Optical/Sprint, MVP/Measure-X Vision system).
  • Ability to use various measuring and test equipment such as Profilometer, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Bore Gages, Height gages, Force testers, Surface plates, plug gages, Air & LVDT gaging etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex OEM prints.
  • Well versed in GD&T.
  • Good analytic skills with common sense approach to problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with good understanding of math.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing production floor and be able to lift to 30 lbs.
  • 8+ years\u2019 experience in machine shop or Manufacturing environment.
  • Team player.
  • Well versed in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with CNC machined tight tolerance parts.
